John Wayne actually was owned by a friend of mine in PA, but he lived  here at Kastlecav off & on for the last several years of his life - so he was one of the gang here.   Johnnie first came to visit at Kastlecav when he came to be bred with Dixie.  No puppies were produced from this breeding, but this proved to be the first of several visits here, and eventually he just 'stayed'.  Johnnie loved the freedom of the 'doggie door' that allowed access to the fenced yard, and the companionship of the other dogs here.  Sadly, like so many Cavaliers, Johnnie had a heart murmur and at 11 1/2 years of age,  Johnnie went to the Rainbow Bridge in March, 2007.  We miss him very much.
